New Moms Group
Today’s new mother is under more pressure than ever to be perfect. Trying to meet the needs of everyone and struggling to adjust her own expectations for the perfect birth, easy breastfeeding, or instant mother/baby bonding often leaves her secretly feeling overwhelmed, irritable and hopeless. This support group is an opportunity to connect with other mothers around the real issues of motherhood.

Though the content of the group will be determined by the specific needs of the participants, some of the issues to be addressed will include:

* How to quiet that internal voice that tells you you’re not good enough
* Processing the birth experience
* Managing feelings of guilt, worry and anger
* Dealing with the baby blues
* Making self-care a priority

Join with other moms for support, to give and receive advice, and to learn about what is normal and what to expect in the early months.

The group will meet at 29th/ Speer from 7-8:30pm Fall 2010.
The cost is $100 which covers the four sessions and any materials used during the group.

For more information, please call Jennifer Lucas-Brown, MA, DAACS at (303) 514-4975 or Susan Tinsley, MA at (720) 413-6483.
